The following Positions are available to be filled up on consolidated salary under WHOPES assisted project “Field testing and evaluation of the efficacy of VectoMax FG as a mosquito larvicide in Goa, India” on purely temporary/adhoc and contractual basis coterminous with project.
Post 1: Research/Project Assistant -Two
Essential qualification: Three years graduate degree in Biological Sciences with two years of experience or Three years graduate degree in Biological Sciences with two years diploma in the relevant discipline from recognised University
Desirable: M.Sc.in Biological Sciences & Experience in malaria field work, good computer skills and experience with using MS Office.
Age: Below 30 years
Job requirements: The candidate is expected to carry out supervision of field activities, data collation, analysis, interpretation and overseeing project implementation.
Salary: Rs. 27000 /-per month consolidated
Post 2: Data Entry operator-One
Essential qualification: Graduate with one year certificate/diploma in computer applications from recognized institution with good computer skills.
Desirable: Experience in using MS Office, handling scientific data, analysis, experience in administration & accounts. Fluency in English and Hindi.
Age: Below 28 years
Job requirements: Handling data and statistical analysis.
Salary: Rs. 15200/-per month consolidated
Post 3: Field Assistants -Four
Essential qualification: Matriculation
Desirable: Experience in malaria field work
Age: Below 28 years
Job requirements: The candidate is expected to do field work, sampling of immatures in the field and spraying of biolarvicides in the larval habitat.
Salary: Rs. 14000/-per month consolidated
The duration of the project is nine months. The period of contract may be curtailed at the discretion of the competent Authority. Age relaxable for SC/ST/OBC candidates as per Govt. rules and also in deserving cases. The interested and eligible candidates for the posts 1, 2 and 3 may appear for a walk in interview on 16th October, 2014 (Thursday) at 10 AM at above address along with bio data and photocopies of the proof of age, qualification, and attested copies of certificates and also originals for verification. No TA/DA will be paid to the candidates. N.O.C. will be required from the employer, if employed in Central/State Govt. Dept/P.S.U./Autonomous body. Candidates selected in the project shall not be treated as employee of NIMR/ICMR and shall have no right implicit or explicit for his/her absorption in NIMR/ICMR in any position.
