Indian Coast Guard notification for the recruitment of Assistant Commandant Posts

The Indian Coast Guard is a multi-mission organization, conducting round-the-year real-life operations at sea.For effective command and control, the Maritime Zones of India are divided into five Coast Guard Regions, namely, North-West, West, East, North-East and Andaman & Nicobar, with the respective Regional Headquarters located at Gandhinagar, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata and Port Blair. The Coast Guard Regions are commanded by Officers of the rank of Inspector General.


To ensure that quality resource is available to the Coast Guard, the benchmark for the recruitment of officer and EPs is set high, right from the screening stage. The selection process is stringent, and ensures that only the most suitable candidates are inducted into the service.

Indian Coast Guard Invites applications for the recruitment of Assistant Commandant Posts in various branches.

Indian Coast Guard Region Vacancy details:

1. General Duty
2. General Duty (for men)
i. Pilot
ii. Navigator or Observer
3. Technical Branch (Mechanical/ Electrical) (for men)
4. Pilots (Helicopter and fixed wing) Commercial Pilot License holders


Age Limit: Candidates should born between 01-07-1989 to 30-06-1993 for S.No.1 Post, 01-07-1987 to 30-06-1995 for S.No.2 & 4 Post, 01-07-1984 to 30-06-1993 for S.No.3 Post.

Educational Qualification: Bachelor Degree for S.No.1 Post, B.Sc with Maths & Physics with 60% marks in aggregate for Post 2 and Engineering in Mechanical or Electrical Branch for S.No. 3 Post and 12th class pass with 60% marks in aggregate and should possess current / valid Commercial Pilot license (CPL) approved by DGCA for S. No. 4 Post.

Selection Process: Candidates will be selected based on their performance in Mental Ability Test, Picture Perception and Discussion Test, Psychologist test, Group Testing and Interview (Personality test).
